Ep 424: Shark Tagging with FishGuyPhotos

Long Island's coastal waters have an abundance of sharks, all of which we know very little about. In 2015, a small group of researchers were the first to deploy a satellite tag on a juvenile great white shark off Long Island’s south shore. Since then we have tagged over 30 juvenile great whites along with an additional couple hundred sharks such as mako, blue, sandbar, dusky, sandtiger, tiger, hammerheads, spinner and blacktip sharks.
