On the last episode Matt Farah's melted edibles kicked in just as we were saying goodbye at Gebhard's. We went down to the meat packing district for Carl's memorial at his restaurant, La Cubana. The wheels came completely off. Kicked out of La Cubana we persevered for Carl. Pushing through as we podcasted on the sidewalk competing with the cold, the wind, shots spilled on the podcast equipment, drunken babble, loud competing music and a tripping Vic Henley. Then there was Freddy! You won't soon forget him. Yes there are a few chunky edits which were on purpose for obvious reasons. I threw the original audio in the river so don't ask if I have it. Carl we love you with all our hearts! Rest easy. Huge thanks to Matt Farah, Nick Solares and Mike Safo for helping me shape this into an amazing episode.
Opie and Carl Ruiz break down all the stupid overrated stuff you do in the fall. Also, Carl tells a story about taking a bigger girl under the boats at the New Jersey shore. Another crazy girl story from Robert and...................water sports!
Opie heads to Gebhard's Beer Culture in nyc to see Vic and Sherrod for the first time since the passing of their dear friend, celebrity chef Carl Ruiz. The boys are joined by many others that knew him and lots of fans to remember Carl.
Opie heads to Gebhard's Beer Culture in nyc to see Vic and Sherrod for the first time since the passing of their dear friend, celebrity chef Carl Ruiz.
Great hilarious insider food talk with Carl Ruiz, Vic Henley and Nick Solares. Then Opie, Carl and Vic grab drinks and dinner and continue the ball busting at Ribbon.
Accelerated is NOT a best of. It's audio that's edited down to make it quicker and funnier.
RIP Chef Carl Ruiz - You did it your way
This is from 2 years ago. Guy Fieri and Alex Guarnaschelli cam on the show loaded for bear. Carl got a beating which made me and Sherrod so so happy. Rest easy Cuban.
Opie wanders to Times Square where he answers questions from his Instagram and has a confrontation with some rappers. This was the last episode recorded before we all heard the terrible news about Carl. Opie will be back eventually with tributes to everyone's favorite chef Carl Ruiz.
Opie sits down and talks to Bubba the Love Sponge for the first time ever! They talk radio wars, radio pranks, Howard Stern, Hulk Hogan, the time they almost fought and much more. A great listen for anyone that loved the shock jock days of radio from 2 guys that seen the mountain top as they both now hang in the valley.
After Opie drops off Carl at the subway he turns on his Instagram Live to take a lot of questions from fans. As he answers some tough questions from the O&A days he wanders in and around Central Park messing with anyone that crosses his path. Oh! He also gives you a taste of a good and a bad street musician. It's a very voyeuristic episode that's funny, deep and at times very uncomfortable.
Carl needed to hang, have a beer and do a little podcasting. So, we headed to Gebhards Beer Culture on the UWS in nyc for a few beers and a bunch of laughs.
Opie had a chance to sit down with Navy SEAL, Robert O' Neill. Here is this American hero's story of what went down the day his team went after Osama Bin Laden.
Opie and Carl hang out in the attic of La Cubana and hilariously break down the Democratic candidates for President. They also talk Jeffrey Epstein conspiracy, area 51, hurricanes and what one dope thinks we should do to combat them. Stay to the end of the episode for a hilarious Yelp review.
